Palombaro is a mountainside village of 1000 people in the Chieti Region of Abruzzo.  The village stretches along a ridge in the Maiella Mountains in the Italian National Forrest.  The mountain tower over one side of the village while the other side hangs over the valley which gives visitors a clear view of the Adriatic Sea 45 minutes away.  Around town, you will find a cafe, two food markets, a butcher, a hardware store, florist, salon and a restaurant.
